Energizing or sleepy?
Calming, after a lift. Leafly places Gushers on the calming side of its scale and Westword calls it euphoric and sedating, while Weedmaps and Leafly’s 2026 list describe an uplifting or energizing start that settles into body relaxation.1,2,4,5 Its Durban crosses run the other way: Leafly users list energetic first for both Poison Gushers and Durban Gushers (see genetics).8,9
Why two batches can feel different
Potency alone varies widely: one in ten lab-tested batches came in under 14.85% THC and one in ten above 25.81%.10 Add that Westword found the flavor “really depends on the cut”, that seeds sold as Gushers are new lines rather than the original cut, and that unrelated strains share the name, and two jars labelled Gushers can hold noticeably different flower.4,11,12
